Just when you thought the Fast & Furious franchise couldn’t get any bigger, it’s revving up to hit fans with a set of TV shows on Peacock. During the upfront presentation for the streamer’s parent company NBCUniversal on Monday, star Vin Diesel shared that four series are in the works based on the high-octane racing movies.

“So, despite the fact that we’re going to [Comic] Con for the 25th anniversary, despite the fact that we’ve got a roller coaster ride coming this summer, despite the fact that we are welcoming the Olympics in California in 2028, the news that I have here today is that Peacock is launching four shows from the Fast & Furious universe,” said the actor, who plays family man Dominic Toretto in the films.

Though details of the series’ plot and cast were not shared during the event, Diesel said that a TV run finally felt right with Donna Langley on board. Langley, the chairwoman of Universal Pictures, has helped shape the franchise’s growth and creative direction, and played a major role in the films’ international popularity.

Diesel pointed to the Fast & Furious fanbase around the world, the appeal of the franchise’s characters and the legacy of the films after 25 years, noting that he never thought it would expand this much.

The newest — and final — movie in the collection, Fast Forever, is slated to be released in March 2028.
