    Booklovers, today’s NYT Connections puzzle is for us. Well, at least the purple category, which creatively honors a beloved classic book. Read on for clues and today’s Connections answers.

    The Times has a Connections Bot, like the one for Wordle. Go there after you play to receive a numeric score and to have the program analyze your answers. Players who are registered with the Times Games section can now nerd out by following their progress, including the number of puzzles completed, win rate, number of times they nabbed a perfect score and their win streak.

    Hints for today’s Connections groups

    Here are four hints for the groupings in today’s Connections puzzle, ranked from the easiest yellow group to the tough (and sometimes bizarre) purple group.

    Yellow group hint: Like Bedford Falls.

    Green group hint: Roll the dice and move your token.

    Blue group hint: Mix up the letters and you’ll see.

    Purple group hint: Marmee’s girls.

    Green group: Classic board games.

    Blue group: Homophones of ways of looking.

    The theme is small community. The four answers are commune, hamlet, township and village.

    The green words in today’s Connections

    The theme is classic board games. The four answers are Battleship, Operation, Othello and Trouble.

    The blue words in today’s Connections

    The theme is homophones of ways of looking. The four answers are aye (eye), lear (leer), pier (peer) and stair (stare).

    The purple words in today’s Connections

    The theme is ending in the “Little Women” March sisters. The four answers are banjo (Jo), Macbeth (Beth), monogamy (Amy) and nutmeg (Meg).
